Tired of Bad Service

I have been noticing more and more lately how bad service is becoming, I know I can't say that all service is bad because it's not and sometimes it's also dependent on the shops / restaurants  you go too.  I find bad service annoying and unnecessary, I am a friendly person I greet everyone and treat everyone well so I get really annoyed when people are rude while doing a job that they are paid to do.

This week I have had 2 instances that have really stood out and annoyed me...

The first at our local Mc Donald's store, the woman that served us was atrocious! She was grumpy, hardly spoke and when she did she was rude, she didn't ask us whether we wanted it sit down or take away and decided on our behalf that it should be take away even though we wanted to sit down! We then went to the dispenser to get serviettes and tomato sauce, we when told her they were out of tomato sauce she opened the lid of the dispenser said "it's finished", threw the lid back on and basically threw tomato sauce sachets at us, argh! Shocking!

The second incident, I had to take my car in for repairs on Tuesday. When they phoned me to book my car I asked whether someone would be able to drop me off at home. I stay literally 5 minutes away and I didn't have a lift home they said no problem.  The morning that my car was going in they phoned me to confirm. I reminded them that they would have to drop me off at home, the woman sounded like it was the first that she had heard about it (even though it was the same woman that I made the arrangement with) anyway she said she would arrange something for me.

It is now 2 day's later, and they phoned to say that my car is ready for collection at 2pm today. I asked if someone would be able to pick me up from my home, she said their driver was not available today so I asked whether he would be able to pick me up tomorrow morning, she told me to hold but didn't actually put the phone on hold and proceeded to say the following to her colleague "Can you believe this woman wants a lift!" REALLY? I couldn't believe my ears, when she came back on the phone I mentioned to her that they had my car and as inconvenient as it may be for them I can't drive there without my car! argh! 

I'm really getting tired of bad service!

I'm back... I think...

It has been almost a year since the last time that I blogged, it has been something that has been in the back of mind almost every day during that year.  It hasn't been due to lack of things to post in fact it has been quite a busy year and I have had loads of things that I could post about, I just seemed to have this resistance. 

Every time I sat down to start typing my mind and fingers just wouldn't co-operate.  I think it started when the 'dreaded' how much of my life do I want on the Internet thought entered my mind and when I have kids would I want their lives and pictures on the Internet.

It's a year later and I still don't have the answer. I do know that I love reading blogs, I love that I would be able to document mine and my children's lives and have something that they would be able to look back at one day, heck that is why I started blogging in the first place!  I love that there is such an amazing support of mom blogs that would make having a first child less daunting.

So for now I'm back. With undecided baby steps...
